Collection: Megan Grey - “The Eternal Stillness”

Megan Gray absorbs nature. She soaks up its tranquility and releases it to all who view her paintings, which are lush, verdant, serene reflections of marshlands, sunrises, and sunsets.

Marshlands especially interest Gray, and using oils, she paints gently curving streams meandering through the land and meeting the sky. Her sunrises and sunsets capture the moments when our light transitions. One of her influences was American Tonalism from 1880 – 1920, which captured landscapes with subtle color tones, resulting in soft-edged paintings.

Gray is primarily a self-taught painter who works in oils, though she completed a one-year stint as a Fine Art major at Kean University. While raising her children, she worked as a portrait and event photographer, knowing she would return to her first love, painting. She lives and works in Monmouth County, NJ.

Gallery Jupiter is pleased to present this exhibition of Gray’s paintings. The show opens Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and runs through Tuesday, December 1, 2026. Gallery Jupiter is located at 31 Church Street in Little Silver, NJ. The phone number is 732-530-8035.
